Miloon will be joined by Barbara Hall, Chief Commissioner of the Ontario
Human Rights Commission, which has just recently completed a province-wide
consultation on housing rights. Both will be invited to offer introductory
comments (Miloon will be asked to speak about the purposes of his mission to
Canada, and to outline briefly the international right to housing; Barbara
will be asked to review some of the observations and findings from their
recent housing rights consultation). There will be special presentations
from Street Health (on their recent year-long research study on
homelessness) and the Dream Team (a group of formerly homeless people who
will speak about supportive housing options), then a moderated set of
presentations from the audience.
