In dedication to Erick Greene (Ojibway), the official closure of the Vancouvercrew account.

Smoke, James and Erick all left the Homeless Nation project before Erick passed on last June, but I’d like to dedicate the Vancouvercrew account and this blog entry to Erick’s memory and link you to his myspace account and thank him for the awesome work he did for Homeless Nation.

Please check out Aerosol http://homelessnation.org/en/user/463 and Tristan Vox’s Aerosol Constellation http://www.myspace.com/eric_arky

Erick, as we all know, is a talented artist and bright spark of a soul, who is very missed by his family, friends, peers and co-creator allies. Wherever you are now Erick, may you be at peace!

Here is an excerpt from his myspace account. Thank you Erick.

Affairs And Verbal Wars

There's no need to burn the past, or hide within it. It's there like an abandoned house, book cased between progress and remorse. The way the city was, and will probably never be again.

Where it's boarded up, and tidied up, the restless ghosts of false addiction will wander the dark arguing with anything that moves. Eventually nothing will move, and it will be silent.

Where you are, or what you think, and what you understand, or what you think you understand will no longer play into any of what makes me up. There was nothing to grasp at, or fix. I have learned only one thing. Up there where the stars light our path during sleep, there is nothing between them. There never was, and never will be.

Only the smell of a fire set to cover my tracks.

Hey Smoke and James, Even though I didn’t work with you guys for very long (hardly an established collaboration, shamefully on the part of circumstances), it sill feels strange to think that all three of you (including Erick) left the project and I’m still here (barely). Do you even go on the site anymore, I wonder? And I wonder what my next move will be? It’s been a couple of months now since Erick passed on. Having just returned from a friend’s funeral in Washington, I’ve had Erick on my mind a lot this week…Erick and so many wonderful and creative friends from over the years who were such sensitive and aware people and who maybe struggled with the injustices of society that they/you work so hard to transform.

Erick, I wish I had the chance to work with you more; you were/are such a talented guy with a great enthusiasm for art and life!

And thanks to you both, James and Smoke, who did amazing work for the site, and who introduced me to the world of web-media.
