no place to call home
I gotta get out of toronto. I'm coming to montreal. Miss the cheap beer and poutine. this one thought keeps slightly haunting my mind and i think its kinda the curse of being a traveller. I started travelling cuz besides seeing the country,I wanted to find a city that I could actually manage to live in,and actually like, not just tolerate. I'm from ottawa so i figured anywhere would be better. but I'm realizing now that iIget tired of a city really fast and just keep moving onto a new place.i'm running out of cities. Its always nice to come back but after a short time the nastalgia wears off. I love toronto but its wearing on me. Guess thats just the life of a nomad. No where is really home.

ahh, yes. Poutine...plenty of that here indeed! We treated a new friend from France to one just recently around the corner, not bad.
Be great to hear people's fave spot in Mtl for poutine. Survey style!
ciao
Totally agree, poutine's SOOO good, best with fromage en grien, try blue cheese too that'll rock yer socks a little, then washed down with cold drink. I cant' opinionate on your mindset as we've never face to faced, so this li'l ditty is only conjectural musing but maybe the nomadicism, not being able to feel "at home" lies in a trifecta of financial weakness to settling in the newest town, no luck mating, and no existent fulfilling work. If you go for Montreal but get stuck in Kingston for a bit, Ryandales might still be reputed as the mellowest place for a bed & food, lets clients cook out of communal donation fridges. Good luck hitching!
try a different country :P
anyway. Mel you better email me when you come to Ottawa!!
miss you like craaaaaaaazy.
hey if u like cities, but cant find one too kewl, i had the bitchinest time in nyc. its crazy massive, but really kewl. we hung out around the teens(the village) and nobody gave a fuck that we just rolled our sleeping bags out right on the sidewalk outside of the patrolled park and across from the library. it was a gr8 time. and if u go, u gotta see alex grays studio. heres the link. www.alexgrey.com and gwar fuckin rox ass!!!
L.A. sux, denver sux. washington state, oregon and northern cali r kewl. i remember bozeman montana being a kewl easy college town. boise idaho is gr8 for signflying. so is colorado springs colorado. i cant wait to sneak back to canada. theres a lotta kewl places in the states, but just remember, when the cops act rude, its just their whole alpha-wolf role they adapted to suit the position they got. just act like the dumbest canadian in the worls, and it works everytime.;) so in the meantime have fun
peace love and light
