I understand exactly what you are saying, the greedy developers, the evil IOC. The whole thing gets pretty ridiculous.
But then think about something for one second. Think about the Athletes that have been training pretty much their whole lives for the love of their sport. Most of these people dont make anything, they are basically starving artists, unless they make it big, which is very very very rare.
So then, I understand the Olympics are run by a bunch of capitalist greedy fat cats that dont care who they step on to make a profit.
The athletes are slaves to their system, just as most are slaves to some other system.
Boycott the Swine. Support the athletes.

I don't think our warrior Harriet has left us yet. At least not her spirit any how, cuz all this stuff around the mountain is what she was trying to stop. She didn't want the corps to destroy our home, she didn't really want us to fight amongst ourselves nor did she want us to not have fun. What wanted was for us to enjoy what all of our ancestors have fought for, not destroy our land or ourselves along the way. She didn't want us to to belittle one another or hate each other. What she wanted was for us to respect the land and ourselves and try and live in peace and harmony.
Yea right as if that is going to happen as long as segration continues to exist dividing us all by our race, age, gender and income.
Did you ever wonder why we have the North Americian Indiginous games and then the olympics. Why don't we have FN in the Olympics. We certainly have enough people wanting to become indians now don't we?
