the problem with land ownership.

everyone is free to live in a civilized society as long as you can afford to live and work in an area where you can purchase a piece of land, or else you get stuck paying rent or homeless. There was a time when the land was free thereby giving the people who all live on the land an equal opportunity to prosper. The land all belongs to the crown at least here in bc and we all know who lived free on the land here in bc before one person in the name of their flag and family put a flag in the ground killed as many of the people who used to inhabit the area and then claim everything is theirs and theirs alone. war fought with military means does not make the land anyones to own. land ownership was an idea that was not around before the arrival of the europeans. Land is a necessity as we all need a place to call home regardless of means. For one person and thereby one family to say that they own everything and that you must purchase the land from them or their agent is lunacy. It is profit from an unjust war against the people who last lived here when the land was free for everyone to enjoy to make a home share the resources and to a life of existance without payment. few have been able to live on crown land for free. Homesteading a piece of land in bc used to be an option but the aristocrats that collect the property taxes on the sale of every piece of land in the province are charged for anyone who is fortunate enough to buy the war for land for profit scheme. Where are the lost days of land stewardship? The time when you could live without fear of walking on the land which is part of our own existence.
