from Seattle Wa:it is winter outside,the shelters are full, and our city is making it a crime to survive.Those living outside in parks or greenbelts have had their survival gear destroyed or thrown away without being offered any assistance or warning.A month ago, we demanded that the city state a clear, consistent,and compassionate policy on encampments clearances. Instead, they gave us this:Vague promises of police backed outreach and additional shelter with no commitment and no funding. A refusal to halt the clearances until shelter is available.
