About
working on homelessness and housing issues for about 35 years. Mostly as a Toronto City Councillor and tenant organizer in the 70s to the 90s. Then had a chance to work with many homeless people on issues of rights and housing in Toronto and across Canada. Learned much from this process and wrote a book about it called: Homelessness - the making and unmaking of a crisis. Now an MP and Leader of Canada's NDP in the House of Commons, working for more funding for affordable housing.Jack
