The Saskatoon Community Youth Arts Programming (SCYAP) Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable organization established in order to address the social, educational, and economic needs of youth who face multiple barriers to employment.

I have been noticing this place for quiet sometime now but never had the opportunity to check the place out because of my work schedule. As I was walking by I saw that there were people within the center hanging art and I figured I would stop in to say Hello and give them a heads up about the site and what we do here.

The SCYAP art center offers several programs, focusing it's direction towards "at-risk" youth or those living in poverty. Giving those who are a little down on their luck a chance to express themselves artistically as well as a forum for discussion between peers in the same demographic.

Welcome to the homelessnation saskatoon blog. Within the next coming months I will be gathering contacts within the City of Saskatoon. I am looking for homeless shelters, drop in centers, food banks, and any other resources that people living in poverty might find useful.

As soon as i get my hands on a camera i will also be doing some youth work documenting events, and stories within the city.
