poverty, why us?
when i think about my life, the lives of my friends and others in our situation, my mind wants to be distracted. i don't want to think about it. i want to do something else to get my mind away from poverty and into more enjoyable subjects, like hacky- sack, foosball, smoking weed, doing art, writing, making characters to game with, etc. i have lots of stuff to keep my mind occupied, but this issue of poverty needs to be addressed right now before things get any worse. we need more social housing for the real canadian vancouverites and less condos for immigrants who are going to stay in vancouver for only two weeks while the olympics run; after the olympics vancouver will become a ghost city when the immigrants go back home and things will cost ten times more and there will be no affordable housing for anyone to live in, we need more affordable collage tuitions, we need a more agreeable attitude from the government and police, we need the right to live our lives the way we see fit and not by the governments standards of living which is okay for some but not for society as a whole, people don't want to be told that they have to do something that they don't want or need to do. people are not sheep; they are not robots and people, although some may not show it, will dispise whoever forces them to do these things.
nobody wants their basic human or civil rights taken away, so tell me why our rights are being systematically stripped from us. little by little and more and more we become slaves to the government. why? the ones who refuse to become slaves are pushed into a life of poverty. we are the the powerful, the ones who will change the way the world thinks about itself, we are the future. it's us versus the government and it's a battle that we must win. if we don't win, we lose all of our rights. do you want that? i don't! the future i see is not a pleasent one unless we take control and make our future the way we want it to be. help make the change that needs to be made. begin the revolution now and create a future we do want to live in!

My life was stricken with some extreme poverty when I was a child. Actaully for most of my life, from the time I was born. I found the only way to get some cash, other than crime and yadda yadda, was basically to go to school and get hopefully when I am done, get a job. But I realize that not everyone wants to do that, or can do that, and should not have to. I do not know how things are going to change, if they ever are.
