But we lost the whole forum... I dunno if the post was about that, yes it's easy but I'd like to get all the post from the forum we had. There was a lot of good stuff here guys.

Here are the questions I have regarding written blogging here:
1) Why are the written blogs with comments disappearing? On other blog sites I visited they are *always* archived to increase readership. Is there something I am missing?
2) I cannot find "bold" "italics" and photo layup where I want [pics always shows up to the right], and proper links [another colour, underlined links so when I say "Amnesty International" the link to the newscast is right within it] to other sites. Is this information somewhere I have missed?
3)The RSS link is questionable. [A friend tried to reach me this way] If we want to increase traffic this is important.
4) Is there someway to put the names/handles in the blog url that I don't know about? homelessnation/user448 [or whatever] simply doesn't cut it in the blogging world.
I know this sounds quite critical, however these are the tweaks I need to know about, or that need to be instituted, if we want to be taken seriously and increase traffic. Otherwise we are preaching to the choir and without growing, no site can last long.
Also, blogging is a time consuming process whether written, podcast or video. Top quality and responsive site management insures that people will get more from the experience and stay with the project much longer.
Also, within the month I will be running Linux for sure. So will that make it easier, or more difficult within this site?

The Babylon Project was a dream given form. Its goal, to prevent another war by creating a place where humans and aliens could work out their differences peacefully. It's a port of call  home away from home for diplomats, hustlers, entrepreneurs, and wanderers. Humans and aliens wrapped in two million, five hundred thousand tons of spinning metal, all alone in the night. It can be a dangerous place, but it's our last best hope for peace. This is the story of the last of the Babylon stations. The year is 2258. The name of the place is Babylon 5.
good comments, we're no where near where we want to be, but I'll try and answer some of your questions:
-the blogs are all still there, in your profile, and in the main "blog" page.
-formatting is possible with a little editor, but I've disabled it for the moment while we try and figure some things out
-each RSS page is syndicated, but it works in an odd way - its possible for someone to subscribe to each blog you write, etc - to do this, they should subscribe to the RSS link in your user profile
-Its possible for me to give a specific URL instead of numbers, but I'm not sure you can - I will look into it.
For the record, we are going into another development phase this summer, and we'll be soliciting active members like you for feedback. Glad you're enjoying the site.
Best,
Brett

<-the blogs are all still there, in your profile, and in the main "blog" page.>
I tried that blog archive and the whole blog didn't show up--I'll try again and see what swings as I could have checked before when you were just getting back up and running...
<-formatting is possible with a little editor, but I've disabled it for the moment while we try and figure some things out>
Ah so I can assume that at some point we will have a proper editor? Presently I am cutting and pasting. That would be coolers...
<-each RSS page is syndicated, but it works in an odd way - its possible for someone to subscribe to each blog you write, etc - to do this, they should subscribe to the RSS link in your user profile>
Okay so let me see if I have this right. someone can only subscribe to *one* given blog not to my user profile and recieve updates etc. Is that correct?
-Its possible for me to give a specific URL instead of numbers, but I'm not sure you can - I will look into it.>
It would be nice if you can fix the URLS--for bloggers this looks better and is much easier for access for bringing on new people to read/join etc.
If you can fix that--it would be excellent.
Blogs are easy to get around the 'net but I do believe that your team is trying to do something special here. That's why you have my support even with all the glitches and weirdlies and crashes.
I was rather proud of our little crew when we made the top 20 in google searches around the guardian angels one weekend and we made the search engines in the Paul Croutch conversation.
I really do need to know about any possible Linux glitches you've discovered if I'm to stay consistant.
Maybe this will turn into "The Little Web Site That Grew" *chuckle*
For my part, I've been researching to see how we can improve our "hits" which is why I'm bringing this up...
