Watched a fascinating documentary last night about the $100 billion-a-year "war on drugs" showcasing a growing group of normally unlikely proponents for legalization: current & former U.S. and Canadian cops www.leap.cc (scroll down to read the info there)

Yes, yes, yes. When will the persecution end? Wasted money, violence, all so unnecessary. I have been writing my NDP Member of Parliament to activate them about this issue. It is very real in the lives of "undesirables" who are hasseled because of an arbitrary law, neighbourhoods who are awakened by gunshots due to drug wars and the loss of revenue that should be spent other places. Grow up, Canada!

Yet another compelling reason for the freaks haunting north american governments to end the "war on drugs" is NASA has run out of funding for the dangerous asteroid monitoring project this year.
