freedom of expresion-
This will be my last blog. Freerick no more. Due to what my friends like to call foot in mouth or i like to call sturing the shit, I have come to see stuff i didn't want to see.It pains me but the rage can be no more.
As i am enjoying this great weekend in Vancouver, rain and all,i can't but worry that we do not have freedom of expression left. it makes me laugh because as i am thinking this i log on here and see the cops blog under my name. i didn't write it but i must have pissed off someone that knows how to use a computer. Let it be who ever you are.
I have tried, in my way, to show the pain people have in our rich country. The situation is getting worst. I have seen some many people die in the last 2 years, cold, frail, hurt, lost, loveless, i have to let go. I was becoming a monster, killing myself slowly..I made mistakes, the rage inside made me become an animal, but this system can make a sane man crazy.
While i was fighting for a better life for everyone,i discovered that this country has lost the turm freedom of expression. It used to be when you were ouspoken you pissed off a few people in our gouverment. Now you piss off gouverments in counties you can't even spell without even knowing it. This country is growing alot, maybe to fast. We have to know who the people we let in are.Gouverment emploies of other countries should not be able to lie and move here under false statements. We must protect ourselfs better.Freedom came at a price but it still costs.you have to keep fighting for it day after day. Don't give in.
for my sanity, i will be turning my fight from spoken rage to love in painting. I have met some great people from all over the world in Victoria who use paint so beautifully. I will follow there lead. I have so much i want to share and giveback, and with love and harmony threw painting it will be until we get freedom of expression back. I love you all and god bless all the good kids from val cartier leaving to fight for it.

I get this,
Oh Lordy kiddo, how I get this!
I don't know how you got freaked by this or by whom or under what circumstances. If yer willin' to trade the chant I'm willin' to listen/read.
I've had persuasive arguements across the globe. Sometimes I've had people get pissed off due to a language gap that we can't seem to cross. Courtesy and diplomacy don't always translate. Honesty certainly doesn't.
I too, am tired.
Strangely enough I also paint. I find painting a peaceful, meditative experience so I can understand the attraction, I think.
I'm not sure what you mean by "government employees of other countries should be able to move here under false statements"--can you explain please?
We no longer even know the names of the lords of the manor while we serfs stare up in awe and fight in frustration. The government, the shills of the lords ostensibly works for us, yet we have no hand in the decisions that are made.
Learn how government *really* works. Party voting, unrepresentational taxation, riding votes instead of representational votes [one person one vote, not by riding]. When you truly understand this, then you can target the opposition.
I've found most activist situations burn out the activists without accomplishing much. Without understanding tactics and without understanding that we are NOT a "democracy" in the Greek sense of the word then we don't understand exactly what we are dealing with and so, accomplish little while using too much valuable energy.
Most activists don't understand the concept of organization very well. Yet they are fighting the most organized, behemothic creations in the history of humankind, big business and goverment holding hands.
Much as I like anarchists on a personal level I also know it's not human nature. There always has to be minimum of organizational structure, The health of that structure is based in how much opposition it can withstand and how much flexibility it has to meet the needs of the majority of people it serves.
Animals must have packs and we are social animals. Any good organization has use for the "lone voice" of opposition and keeps open the possibility that the lone voice is foresightedly accurate. That certainly does NOT describe the government we are presently dealing with.
I understand to some degree the need to 'lick your wounds'. I've pretty much pulled out of everything at this point, blocked all email coming from activist organizations etc. I show up here but that's about it, these days.

I'm not even sure what that is a response to...
Fear has it's uses. Without it, we would repeat the same behaviours over and over including burning ourselves on the stove over and over.
Please explain!
Maybe the quote by FDR (of all people, I know) is best to help explain.
“Only Thing We Have to Fear Is Fear Itself -- FDR
Thought it was FDR that said the following but I can't find the quote anywhere in it's entirety, but I never forgot it since I found it circa 1970 in Boston...
"Fear is the root of man's destruction of himself, without fear there is no blame, without blame there is no conflict, without conflict there is no destruction."
The rest is up to your own intelligent thought processes to comprehend its meaning. I stated it here because it seems you have given up to whomever it was that manipulated your blog. Please stay strong and be 'fearless' against adversity. That's all. Peace! And oh, write on!

I think U made the right choice. Rage can be good but also destructive. Expressing it through paintings make it constructive. U should photograph your art and post it on this site. It could be inspiring for some.
In french, we have this expression: Une image vaut mille mots.
I'm sure U'll easily find a quebeker in B.C. to translate it 4 U.
Peace.

I'm not sure that freerick is describing "fear". It isn't a word he used in the blog.
Sounds more like compassion fatigue, frustration [when outrage is blocked a perfectly acceptable emotional state considering the circumstances] and the desire for some peace in one's life.
Can't say as I agree that conflict is a "bad" thing. Sometimes it's necessary. If conflict is for the purpose of moving the relationship [whether political/economic/personal] then it can be useful.
I see fear/conflict/destruction/construction/caring/peace-making all as necessary parts of human interaction. At the best of times they are parts of the huge human puzzle. At the worst, they can be incredibly destructive.
A "debate" may be filled with "conflict" however from that controlled conflict there are often wellsprings of new ideas that ignite.
Life is as much fire, as water...
PS: Interesting commentary, thanks!
