You have just won an award.
Oh, wait - make that two awards.
We are proud to announce that Homeless Nation has been recognized by the Canadian New Media Awards (CNMA) and by the Society for New Communications Research (SNCR).
On Friday, November 14th, HN was presented with an award for:
Excellence in New Media Creation/Social Media Production/Nonprofit Division by the SNCR - a US-based non-profit organization.
On Tuesday, November 18th, HN was again honoured, this time here at home, with an award in the category of Excellence in Social Media Websites by the CNMA.
Two awards in 5 days? Not too shabby HN.
You know what all this means?
You're talking - and people are listening. We can make a difference. We can figure out the problems and find the solutions. Let's use this opportunity to make the issues of homelessness the issues of everyone.
So let's keep it up! Let's keep blogging, posting videos, announcing events, reporting news, and talking about what's important.

This is amazing unbelievable guys. We all owe it to ourselves to stand up and take a bow. The Nation is rising and I think Fraggle said it best "Better to die on your feet than live on your knees" Keep up the good work my brethren. Never stop posting blogging, vlogging and podcasting.
Our voice is the one thing that we have total control over now thanks to this site. So say it loud and make it heard!!

I just want to say congrats on winning these 2 awards. It means that many possitive things are going to come to this great organization. I am very proud to be a Homeless Nation Member. I it awesome the work everyone has been doing. The blogging has been supurb and the videos have been haert warming and really thought of before shooting. Let's not stop what were doing and better what we've been doing accross canada.

Defense Food Water Clothing Shelter Entertainment
Homeless needs homes.
Homes need utilities or Freedom to create their own water, heat, cooking, cooling, waste management resources and the defense of the castle if needed.
Street freaks need the police off their backs. FIRST AND FOREMOST.
Then they need waste management. Toilets.
Then they need work for self respect and sustenance.
Transport to and from.
Decent wages. Reasonable prices.
RESPECT FROM THE POLICE FIRST AND FOREMOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Defensive weapons for the few creeps who refuse to take a no to their advances for sex or anything else.
WE DON'T NEED LAWS EXCEPT FOR CONTROLLING POLICE USURPATION'S!!!!!!!
WE NEED FREEDOM TO FIND OUR PLACE. WE AIN'T THEM! WE ARE US!
GET OFF OUR BACKS! RETURN OUR NATURAL BORN RIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They [the law and their enforcers] ain't giving this till many of them die. And most dispossessed [homeless] were already dispossessed of the moral imperative to defend themselves long before they became homeless.
