Break on Through

Quatchi, a sasquatch, is one of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games mascots. He e-mailed me this self-portrait as a thank you for the inspiration he'd found in a shot I'd taken of Michael Geller, Non-Partisan Association candidate for City Council. In my shot, the right-of-centre politician wears the unlikely combo of a Carnegie Community Action Project T-shirt and an NPA campaign badge. In Quatchi's self-portrait, we see the official Olympic mascot wearing activist badges.
