Gathering Place - Vancouver School Board Classes

Here is a list of courses that are being provided by the Vancouver School Board at The Gathering Place Education Centre this summer at 609 Helmcken Street, Vancouver.

Classes are free to Canadian Citizens & Permanent Residents working towards their high school diploma.

Computer Classes

Introduction to Word Processing

This Course is designed for students who want to improve basic computer skills including document creation, formatting, editing in word processing and using email and internet introduction.

Word Processing Level 2

Students will learn how to create columns, tables, footnotes, insert graphics, create brochures and flyers and other advanced features

WebPage Design with Animation

Students will learn how to create a Web Page using HTML and more dynamic and interactive features to the Flash movies as a part of the Web Page they create.

Intro to MS Office

This course is designed to develop your basic skills and knowledge in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). You will also learn how to integrate these applications. This course is a good preparation for BCA11.
