NCAP Ottawa founding meeting update

2008.04.15 - 10:40 AM

Dear brothers & sisters

Here;s the latest updates regarding our founding meeting of the Ottawa chapters of our coalition.

1: We have made a deal with someone who works specifically with child poverty and is working at the CHEO (Children hospital of eastern Ontario)to address this issue in partnership.

2: About a week and a half ago, I had a meeting with Rob Rainer who is in charge of NAPO (National anti poverty organization) and we agreed that it would be beneficial for both organizations to work as partners in dealing with the homeless and poverty issue in our country.

I was also offered a space within their office in Ottawa to work from, as well they will provide me with a computer, desk and phone to work with, this will be taking place sometime next week.

3: As well, NCAP And other organizarions will be working as partners to address poverty reduction in Ontario and especially in the Ottawa region in the next few weeks. I will update you on this as soon as possible.

These are the latest updates from our founding meeting in Ottawa.

Our next meeting for our brothers & sisters in the region who maybe interested to attend will take place on May 15th at the Sandy Hill community health building (corner of Rideau & Nelson st) between 2 and 4;30PM.

last note, The Ottawa chapter will be our head office from now on, if any one want to reach us for now, you may do so at my e-mail address ncap01@gmail.com, when we have the space to work from next week, I will be posting informations on how to reach us at our new address.

In solidarity

Daniel
