23 Mar 2008 - 8:07pmHereditary Squamish Chief Joe Kiapilano served a 72 hour eviction notice to Catholic, Anglican and the United Church of Canada on March 16th, 2008.
By law, churches could legally be occupied by aboriginal people.

They marched on Holy Rosary Cathedral at 646 Richards street in downtown, Vancouver.Their 2 demands are...
1) Ask the churches to withdraw from all aboriginal territories and surrender their buildings to the hereditary Chiefs and Clan Mothers.
2) The churches publicly identify the burial sites of all children who died in their Indian residential schools and hospitals, and surrender the remains of these children and those persons responsible for their deaths.Filmed by J-Hock
